WHAT DO TICKFORD ENHANCEMENTS CONSIST OF?

Tickford enhances selected Ford vehicles with performance and design upgrades. These upgrades can be fitted as ‘Packages/Packs’ or individually as ‘Products’. In many cases, customers can choose what is to be included/excluded in a pack, thereby providing more flexibility in individualising their car.

The Tickford website has categorised each Pack and Product to fit either a Ford Ranger, Mustang, Everest or F-150.

WHAT DOES A CAR SERVICE CONSIST OF?

Tickford offer standard log book car servicing on all Ford model vehicles from 2015 and later. This service can be carried out at our Tickford Enhancement Centres.

WHAT IS A TICKFORD ECU TUNE?

Tickford essentially rewrites the vehicle ECU and recalibrates the map of the engine. The remapping is purposefully developed through extensive testing to obtain more power and better performance. This is based on the requirement to use the highest quality fuel (98 octane in the case of petrol engines) and to ensure the engine adheres to all servicing requirements. Once completed the tune can be applied to an identical vehicle and engine. Eg. The same how an OEM car comes from the factory.

HOW IS THE TICKFORD ECU TUNE POWER OUTPUT MEASURED?

Tickford develops an ECU tune in an environmental controlled cell, where all aspects of power and torque are measured. At the end of the testing, the flywheel and wheel power and torque figure is provided.

DO YOU DYNO TEST THE TICKFORD ECU TUNE? DO YOU OFFER DYNO TUNES?

Due to the extensive testing, Tickford does not offer bespoke tuning. Tickford considers the tune a OEM comparable product.

WHY ARE POWER/TORQUE OUTPUTS DIFFERENT ON A MANUAL TO AUTOMATIC CAR?

With complexities of PCM managements systems that look after and manage all aspects of the driveline, differences in power and torque between manual and auto can be observed.

DO TICKFORD ENHANCEMENTS COMPLY TO AUSTRALIAN ADR OR ROAD RULES?

Tickford complies with industry standards that it is required to meet, such as exhaust clearance and noise. ADR’s are only relevant to the manufacturer, and as an aftermarket supplier, Tickford still has certain legal requirements, but these are different to ADR’s.

ARE POWER UPGRADES AND EXHAUSTS COMPLIANT TO NOISE EMISSIONS?

Tickford complies with industry standards that it is required to meet.

WHAT OIL DO I USE FOR A TICKFORD TUNED/ENHANCED VEHICLE?

Refer to your local Tickford Enhancement Centre for specific grades of oil and usage but in most cases, our development work has been based on the standard recommended oil grades supplied with your vehicle by Ford Australia.

WHAT SERVICE INTERVALS DO I FOLLOW FOR A TICKFORD TUNED/ENHANCED VEHICLE?

Normal Ford log book servicing intervals must be maintained to meet the warranty terms and conditions. In addition, limitations have been placed on vehicles with superchargers or operating under a certain load or environmental condition as stated under ‘Exclusions and Limitations’ in the Tickford warranty – www.tickford.com.au/warranty. We advise for these operating conditions, your vehicle is serviced more frequently.

WHAT FUEL GRADE DO I USE FOR MY TICKFORD?

Petrol – High quality/grade (Premium Unleaded 98) is recommended at all times.
Diesel – High quality/grade diesel is recommended at all times.

DO YOU SELL EARLY MODEL TICKFORD PARTS?

Due to the changes in company ownership, offices and suppliers, Tickford no longer stocks products for vehicles made prior to 2015. Ford Australia may offer the best resource.

DO YOU PROVIDE INFORMATION ON EARLY MODEL TICKFORD CARS?

Due to the changes in company ownership, offices and suppliers, Tickford does support or hold information on Tickford vehicles prior to 2015. Ford Australia may offer the best resource.

DO YOU HAVE SPECIFICATIONS ON EARLY MODEL TICKFORD CARS?

Due to the changes in company ownership, offices and suppliers, Tickford does support or hold information on Tickford vehicles prior to 2015. Ford Australia may offer the best resource.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?

Tickford's online store works like any other online shop, however, you don't need to pay online. After browsing and confirming your order via the checkout, the Tickford team will email you an invoice with payment details, once this payment has been made, your order will be shipped directly to you.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER AFTER RECEIVING THE FINALISED INVOICE?

At Tickford we believe in providing the best customer service. Upon receiving your final invoice, you are welcome to customise or cancel your order, simply by responding to the email with your customisation or cancellation request. Alternatively you can give us a call to notify us.
